For the second time in less than two months, a small herd of bison has gotten loose on the New York State Thruway and had to be fatally shot. State police say four bison, also called buffaloes, were killed by the farmer who owned them when the animals roamed onto the busy interstate in the Ulster County town of Saugerties on Saturday.
