State police say a Schenectady County man has died in a 50-foot fall while rock climbing in a nature preserve in New York's Shawangunk Mountains. Troopers say 46-year-old Andrew Barnes of Niskayuna was climbing in the Mohonk Preserve in the Ulster County town of Gardiner around 8:20 p.m. Wednesday when he fell about 50 feet.
