Anti-hunger advocates seek $16M from state

Local anti-hunger advocates are among those pushing the state for $16 million in new funding to address what they call a worsening hunger problem. Michael Berg, director of Family of Woodstock, which runs three food pantries in Ulster County, said Monday that requests for food have risen by about 20 percent each year for the last few years.
