Ulster launches campaign to attract 'technopreneurs'

Once the home of IBM, Ulster County is again courting the fast-growing tech sector by asking its smaller, homegrown "technopreneurs" to help lure their own kind from New York City.  Ulster County Executive Mike Hein launched the new $45,000 campaign this month to attract city-weary techies up the Hudson River to live and work in Ulster County.  Hein's "Do Business Differently in Ulster County" initiative includes a new website, http://ift.tt/1Kjp7qN, video testimonials featuring local tech entrepreneurs, event sponsorships, a brochure, an advertising campaign and a bus trip and tour of the county.  “Technology business owners are interested in Ulster County,” Hein said.
