Ellenville man gets 14 years for robbery, shooting

An Ellenville man has been sentenced to a maximum of 14 years in prison after pleading guilty to robbing and shooting his ex-girlfriend with a shotgun in a heroin deal gone bad, the Ulster County District Attorney's Office says. The DA's office says Noval and his girlfriend, Nicole Halter, set up Noval's ex-girlfriend on Aug. 27 last year, planning to rob her of $875 worth of heroin when she showed up for the deal.
