ELLENVILLE The Ulster Regional Gang Enforcement Narcotics Team on Tuesday reported the arrest of two suspects on Saturday following an alleged drug transaction and a chase. An URGENT news release issued by the Ulster County Sheriff's Office said team members were conducting surveillance on Saturday at the Ellenville recreational fields on Berme Road in the village when they observed Brett A. Smith, 19, of Center Street, Wurtsboro, and Connor P. McCarthy, 19, of National Street, Napanoch, engage in what appeared to be a drug transaction.
