State: Debris from NYPD firing range dumped in upstate yard

Four truck drivers have been charged with illegally dumping hazardous debris from a New York City police firing range in the yard of an upstate family seeking clean fill. The Times Herald-Record of Middletown reports state Department of Environmental Conservation enforcement officers made the arrests last week after watching the drivers dump their loads on a property in the Ulster County hamlet of Kerhonkson where a couple lives with their four young children.
