In a major upset, Greene County Republican Lisa Fisher declared victory Tuesday night over Albany Democrat Justin Corcoran to fill a state Supreme Court judgeship in the Democratic-friendly 3rd Judicial District. Fisher, 47, an assistant public defender in Ulster County Family Court, will become the only woman serving at the trial-level in the district, which comprises Albany, Rensselaer, Columbia, Greene, Ulster, Schoharie and Sullivan counties.
