ROSENDALE A former town justice court clerk exploited a lack of oversight in the court's bookkeeping practices to siphon more than $5,000 from court coffers, the state Comptroller's Office announced Friday. The former clerk for Rosendale Town Court, Trudy Harper, was charged in June by the Ulster County District Attorney's Office with third-degree grand larceny, and is due back in Ulster County Court Dec. 10. On Friday, state Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli announced the results of a state audit of the town court's books.
