A car chase in midtown Kingston, a few blocks away from where Mayor Shayne Gallo was holding a press conference, ended Friday afternoon with two wrecked SUVs and the arrest of two men. Swarms of law enforcement, including Kingston police, the Ulster County Sheriff's Office, state police and an investigator with the Ulster County District Attorney's Office cordoned off several blocks surrounding 28 Franklin St. at a little after 1 p.m. after a car chase that involved a gold 2002 GMC Envoy and an unmarked Kingston police vehicle, a black BMW SUV.
