Officials in the Hudson Valley say a $10 million project is getting underway to expand the rail trail systems at the Ashokan Reservoir, the Kingston Rail Trail and the Hudson Valley Rail Trail. The Times Herald-Record of Middletown reports Ulster County Executive Mike Hein announced Monday that the plan would add 20 miles of trails to link the existing 40-mile rail trail system within the next two to three years.
