A Hudson Valley hospital anesthesiologist charged with choking an acquaintance and forcing her to swallow a pill that could cause an abortion has pleaded guilty to harassment. The Daily Freeman of Kingston reports that prosecutors in Ulster County reduced the charges against 44-year-old Dr. Thomas Pfeiffer of Red Hook in return for his guilty plea Tuesday.
