N.Y. Thruway Authority opposes role of New Paltz, New Windsor...

The Thruway Authority is arguing against two Hudson Valley towns taking roles in the environmental review of the controversial Pilgrim crude oil pipeline that would travel along the state Thruway on its way to New Jersey. Last week, the authority wrote to the state Department of Environmental Conservation to oppose requests by the Ulster County towns of New Paltz and New Windsor to have a hand in crafting the project's Environmental Impact Statement .
