A grand jury has indicted Mark Carpino on charges he murdered his mother while she slept in their West Chester street home April 5. Ulster County District Attorney Holley Carnright said the indictment went forward despite a determination by two psychiatrists that Carpino was mentally ill and unfit to stand trial on the charges.
