PORT EWEN – Ulster County sheriff's deputies said they pulled over a speeding car early Friday morning on Broadway in Port Ewen, and ended up arresting a 26-year-old New Paltz man on DWI and motor vehicle charges. Deputies said they spotted a gray sedan, driven by James Meyer of New Paltz, traveling at a high rate of speed about 3:55 a.m. When they stopped the car, deputies said, they found Meyer to be intoxicated and they also found that his license had been suspended.
